Trump To Remove ALL Sanctions on Syria

Trump just made his boldest Middle East move yet: lifting all U.S. sanctions on Syria and pledging support for the new post-Assad government.

It’s a dramatic pivot—especially coming from the architect of the Caesar Act, which choked Syria’s economy for years and blocked reconstruction efforts after civil war.

Now, Trump says it’s “Syria’s time to shine.” But what’s really driving this shift?

The strategy isn’t clear. But the stakes are.

Is this an oil corridor play through Syria to the Mediterranean? A bid to woo Saudi and Turkey into a broader normalization pact with Israel? A carrot for Syria to play nice with Tel Aviv?

Or is Trump setting up a new “axis of stability” in the region—one that excludes Iran (for now?) and redraws old red lines?

Either way, Syria’s future is now a bargaining chip in a much bigger deal. And Trump’s fingerprints are all over it.

The only certainty? If Israel’s interests aren’t served, this deal won’t last.
